WANG CHUNG

WANG CHUNG is an english new wave band created in 1979 in London by JACK HUES (singer, born on the 10/12/1954 in Gillingham/Kent), NICK FELDMAN (bass/synths, born on the 01/05/1955 in London) and DARREN COSTIN (drums).
At the outset, the band's spelling was HUANG CHUNG until 1983. WANG CHUNG begins to take off heavily with "DANCE HALL DAYS" (#2 in Italy in may 1984, #5 in Germany and in Switzerland, and #9 in the Netherlands). DARREN leaves them in 1985. Reduced to a duet, the band gives up Geffen signing with A&M. This period give them their greatest US hit "EVERYBODY HAVE FUN TONIGHT" (#1 in South Africa and #2 in the USA).
WANG CHUNG splits in 1991.
