STEVE MILLER BAND est un groupe américain de southern-rock, blues-rock, rock-F.M. et psychedelic-blues créé en 1968 à San Francisco par STEVE MILLER (chant/guitare, né le 05/10/1943 à Milwaukee dans le Wisconsin), BOZ SCAGGS (chant, né le 08/06/1944 à Canton dans l'Ohio), TIM DAVIS (batterie), JAMES CURLY COOKE (guitare), JIM PETERMAN (claviers) et LONNIE TURNER (basse/chant, né le 24/02/1947 à Berkeley en Californie).
