NICKELBACK is a canadian alternative-metal
and post-grunge band created in 1995 in Hanna/Alberta by
CHAD KROEGER (voice/guitar, born on the 15/11/1974 in
Hanna), his brother MIKE KROEGER (bass, born on the 25/06/1972
in Hanna), RYAN PEAKE (guitar/voice, born on the 01/03/1973
in Brooks/Alberta) and RYAN VIKEDAL (drums, born on the
09/05/1975).
In 1996, NICKELBACK settle down in
Vancouver. Their greatest hit "HOW YOU REMIND ME"
(#1 in the USA on
the 23/12/2001 for 4 weeks, #1 in Denmark, Canada, in Ireland,
in Portugal, and in Austria, #2 in Australia et Belgium,
#3 en Germany and Switzerland, #4 in Great Britain,
Sweden and Norway, #11 in France, #14 en Italy, #17 in
the Netherlands and #18 in Finland).
CHAD KROEGER made a solo career for the
soundtrack "Spiderman". In february 2005,
DANIEL ADAIR (drums, born DANIEL PATRICK ADAIR on the 19/02/1975,
ex-THREE DOORS DOWN) replaced RYAN VIKEDAL in NICKELBACK.
