GALLEON is a french electro-house-pop and electronicorock project born in 2000 in Marseilles by PHILIPPE LAURENT (synths/production, born in Marseilles) and MICHEL (D.J./production, born in Marseilles). The both of us call GILLES FAHY (voice) who has worked in New York with TONY SHIMKIN (producer of MADONNA's "EROTICA") to join them.
Their name reffers to galleons, the spanish sea armada from 16th and 18th century. PHILIPPE, MICHEL and GILLES have a smash hit with "SO, I BEGIN" (#8 in France, #10 in Belgium, #13 in the Netherlands, #17 in Switzerland, #36 in the U.K., #37 in Germany and #40 in Austria) that sold more than 400 000 copies in Europe.
