ends with the most popular 100 songs of the year. The
top position belongs to The Black Eyed Peas with the
song I Gotta Feeling which became a world hit and is
still in the charts. The song reached #1 for five
weeks in a row, and it was the second song to do that this year.
The other song was the one that gains the #2 spot of the year,
Aquí Estoy Yo by Luis Fonsi and friends, which
stayed in the charts for 19 weeks total. The
Black Eyed Peas also scored another top 10 hit with Boom
Boom Pow at # 7, which also reached #1 in the country.
Paulina
Rubio marked a record this year scoring 26 weeks in the charts
with the hit Causa Y Efecto followed by 21 Guns
by Green Day which this week gets to 23 weeks in the chart.
The
most famous duet of the year was Carlos Baute and Martha Sanchez,
who end the year at #8 with Colgando En Tus Manos,
followed by another famous duet Alejandro Sanz with Alicia Keys
at #23 with Looking For Paradise. On the other
hand, there are a couple of trios and quartets in the chart this
year that scored very good hits, such as Luis Fonsi and friends (Mexico/Spain),
and also Calle 13 with Café Tacvba (Puerto Rico/Mexico), as well
as Tiziano Ferro with Dulce Maria and Anahí (Italy/Mexico)
The
group that scored the most hits in the top 100 of the year was
The Jonas Brothers with a total of 3 songs (positions #21, #45
and #49) while Demi Lovato was the solo singer who also scored
three hits this year: positions #54, #61 and #79.
