ACE is an english pub-rock band founded by
PAUL CARRACK (voice/keyboards, born on the 22/04/1951 in
Sheffield), ALAN "BARN" KING (guitar/voice,
born on the 18 of september 1946 in London), PHIL HARRIS
(guitar, born on the 18 of july 1948, remplaced in 1976
by JOHN WOODHEAD), TERRY "TEX" CORNER (bass)
and FRAN BYRNE (drums, born on march 1948 in Dublin in
Ireland) in 1972 in London.
The group gives a lot of concerts in pubs of London. In
1976, they open YES shows in the USA. They settle down in
L.A. at this moment. They slit in 1977. PAUL CARRACK will
join ROXY MUSIC, then SQUEEZE in 1981 and MIKE & THE
MECHANICS in 1985. He decides also for solo.
